Portfolio Builder is a portfolio modelling and fund research tool for regulated financial brokers and advisers in Ireland. It models how a combination of funds would have performed, and it illustrates possible outcomes. It does not recommend anything.
Every figure it produces is an illustration, calculated from the funds and allocations you choose.

Fund prices and performance come from the Aviva Ireland fund centre, provided by Longboat Analytics and MoneyMate. Fund holdings and asset breakdowns come from the published fund factsheets of Aviva Ireland and Dimensional Fund Advisors. Fund names and trade marks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the funds shown.
The tool is a static web page. It has no accounts, no sign-in and no server of its own. The figures you type stay in your browser and are not sent anywhere. The page downloads its own fund data files and loads its typeface from Google Fonts.
The fund lists you build on the My Fund Lists tab, including every view you create there, and the portfolios you save in the builder, are kept in your own browser's storage, on the device you built them on. They are not sent anywhere and we cannot see them. That also means they are not a record: clearing your browser's site data, or using another machine or another browser, will lose them. Each has its own Save to file if you want a copy you can keep.

For certain funds, performance prior to the fund's live pricing date is index or simulated performance and not actual fund performance. These figures are marked with ◆ throughout this tool and noted beneath any portfolio result that includes them. Simulated or index performance does not reflect actual fund returns and is not a reliable guide to future performance.
Where a portfolio cost is shown, it is based on the standard portfolio cost entered by the user, adjusted by each fund's published fee adjustment and weighted by allocation. All performance figures are gross: no fund, adviser or plan-level charges have been deducted from the returns shown.
Portfolio volatility, maximum drawdown and the portfolio ESMA band are computed from the combined portfolio's own monthly return series (weighted by allocation, rebalanced monthly), so they reflect diversification between funds. Monthly pricing understates true maximum drawdown relative to daily data. Stochastic projections are illustrative simulations and are not guaranteed.
